Michael Jackson Pepsi Generation....Happy Birthday

On this day in 1958 in Gary, Indiana Michael Joseph Jackson was born the 7th of 10 children to Joseph and Katherine Jackson. I love and miss Michael so much for the people that told the lies on him and made his life a living hell you will pay. I know you are at peace.

Falling On Hard Tmes and Eating Slices of Humble Pie

Disclaimer: Domestic violence is terrible thing although men be cautious about the woman you decide to marry and ladies be cautious about the guy you decide to marry as well.

Chad Johnson formerly known as OchoCinco the football star who has played most of his career for Cincinnati Bengals and was traded to the New England where he played his first Superbowl Game only to be traded to Miami Dolphins at the time it was good thing because Chad is from Miami and Reggie Bush is a member of the squad.

Chad met Basketball Wives reality television star Evelyn Lozada in 2010 and proposed to her later that year. The two wed on July 4, 2012.  Unfortunately things came to a crashing halt.

On August 11, 2012, Johnson was arrested on a charge of domestic violence as reported by the police in Davie, Florida. Johnson allegedly headbutted his wife following an argument that began over a receipt for a box of condoms found in the couple's car. Johnson was released the following afternoon on $2,500 bond. On August 14, 2012, Lozada filed for divorce, claiming her marriage to Johnson was "irretrievably broken."

Following the arrest, Johnson released a statement through his celebrity gossip and sports website OCNN.com
"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death. I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life."

Toni's Thoughts: Chad Johnson never had a criminal record expect for an incident that occurred in college. I don't think it was necessary for him to be released from the Miami Dolphins. Here is my thing Chad has been known to be arrogant so this is a life lesson he can learn from also domestic violence is wrong. Although I thought it was ironic for Evelyn to say he has issues with his anger after we have seen her lash out, fight, bully, throw bottles, run across tables, and have various verbal disputes on television. Chad is a very talented athlete and I hope he can redeem himself from this situation. I give him credit for not wanting to speak about Evelyn even though I'm not a fan of her. Hopefully the both of them can move on with their lives accordingly.

Usher - Dive

The Battle Is Over.... But Who is Really The Winner?

Friday August 24,2012 concluded the on-going battle between Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Raymond is a celebrity fashion stylist. This battle was very bitter Usher and Tameka got married in 2007 and had two sons came from this marriage; Usher filed for divorce in 2009.

An Atlanta judge granted Usher the primary custody of their two sons Usher Raymond V(4 years old)  and (3 year old) Naviyd Eli Raymond. They will continue to  have joint custody, Tameka will have visitation rights, the parameters of which have not been determined as of yet.

Tameka tweeted hours before the verdict: " Money can buy many things....But in the end. Truth and goodness will prevail. I must continue to believe this stand firm."

Honestly I'm not too thrilled about this and I'm tired of reading comments with people saying things like #Team Tameka or #Team Usher. I was happy for them when they got married and I really hoped everything would work out. After the death of Tameka's son Kyle Glover from a previous marriage I think this is terrible timing she had to bury one son and now she has lost custody of her youngest sons. I love Usher I really do; and I admire the fact he wants to raise his boys into men. But I just feel they should have let the custody battle go. I hope Usher does well with his boys.

My final thoughts are that Tameka was never this villian the media tried to make her out to be and just because Usher's mother didn't like her or still doesn't like her, it does  not mean she is a bad person. As most people don't know Usher personally there are two sides to every story hell sometimes three. I also feel as though she is not ugly and was never a golddigger the gist of it is I'm tired of people blasting her. Nobody considered the fact that Tameka has to deal the loss of another marriage, death of a son, and losing custody of her youngest sons as I said before. To me there really is no vicotry their family is now divided. I really think the custody battle should have been dropped Tameka got the raw end of the deal here, this is so wrong.

In the meantime enjoy Usher's latest single "Dive" a personal favorite from his new album Looking 4 Myself.... the video is my next post

Living Outstanding.....Introducing the LoLifez

So far in college I have met some very ambitious and intelligent black men; emphasis on some not trying to be rude just honest. My good friend LaJarvis Evans is no different. LaJarvis Evans is a southern gentlemen hailing from Columbus,GA  currently a  junior at Western Kentucky University majoring in Public Relations. LaJarvis is on a mission to change the world of fashion. He aspires to work with the likes of T.I. and Jason Jeter.

I took the time to speak LaJarvis about his clothing line called "The LoLifez."
Q: How did the clothing line come about?
A:I started my clothing line after getting inspiration from a friend of mine by the name of Coren Knox from Louisville, KY.

Q: What is the inspiration behind the name?
A: The Lolifez, when msot people think of  something symbolized as a Lo Life, they may think of someone who is down and out. In my caase, the LO in "The LoLifez" stands for Living Outstanding.

Q:When can we see your merchandise?
A:  I plan on releasing a webiste for all of my customers  either  September 1st or the 8th. It depends on what I have done by then.

Q:What will be the price range?
A: Being that I want most of my pieces to be exclusive, the prices will  start at $24-35.

Remember this face ladies he is very handsome, humble, and hungry. Fellas he walks to the beat of his own drum he has swagger for days. Let's have a round of applause for this talented brother.

"Mamma Said Knock You Out" LL Cool J this should be Terrell Owens theme song

T.O. aka Terrell Owens will be returning to the NFL this season he has signed a one year deal with Seattle Sea hawks Honestly I am happy for Terrell so hopefully he can pick up endorsements and get his finances together.

T.O. simply relied on his natural talent T.O. Terrell Owens clocked a 4.4 forty time in his tryout with SEA.  For those who don't know that's incredibly fast like high school athletes run that speed. I guess age ain't nothing but a number because he is 38 but when you are down on your luck you hustle hard. I wish you the best of luck this season.

Can You Say Down Grade?

"I thought I was getting a fuck buddy, but I ended up with a baby momma."

Stevie J and Mimi

I was watching Love and Hip Hop Atlanta a few weeks back and I was wondering about the term "Baby Momma." Yes I watch some reality shows and this is one of them personally the shock factor draws my attention. I noticed almost all of the men on the show made a reference to a "Baby Momma."

According to the Urban Dictionary  Baby Momma is defined as 1.The mother of a man's child when the parents are not married. 2. The mother of one's child. The connotation is that mother and father do not and never did have any relationship beyond being sex partners. Or this is a woman a man must tolerate because they have child together or they are in a relationship but may not be married. The same thing goes on with a "Baby Daddy."
P.Diddy and Kim Porter his on and off again girlfriend

I am not perfect but I must say I'm not fond of more and more women becoming a Baby Momma now granted  I understand that in life shit happens although I do not think a man or woman should settle for being a "Baby Momma" or "Baby Daddy." Since when did this become the norm? One day I want to be married and have at least three children with my husband I want to be a wife being "Baby Momma" is not good enough for me. Sure marriage has pros and cons but I feel as though some confusion can be avoided if two people become married it does provide some stability. Besides when he becomes involved with another woman being a "Baby Momma" doesn't carry weight when you really need it to. If he wants sex from another woman if he gets tired of you the man will move on to the next, women do the same with men.

Terrell Owens Baby Mommas

Could it be more kids are being raised in single parent homes? Maybe since sex got to easier to get, love became harder to find. I was raised with both parents and it has been bittersweet but my mom and dad are still married, my grandparents have been married for decades, my aunts, uncles, and older cousins as well. I was just wondering am I crazy for not wanting to become a "Baby Momma" and am I crazy for thinking it should not become the norm.

Dyno-mite, Dyno-mite!!!!!!!!!!!

This summer my newest television guilty pleasure is the new adult swim show Black Dynamite. Black Dynamite was successful blaxploitation spoof film in 2009 there was a range of comedy as the actors were paying tribute to 1970's Black films.

The show stars Micheal Jai White as Black Dynamite you may also know him as Marcus from the Tyler Perry film franchise Why Did I Get Married? Black Dynamite spends time fighting crime and helping whores and orphans at "The Whorphange" with his friends  Honey Bee, Foxxy Mamma, and Cream Corn just to name a few.  His co-stars include Kym Whitley, Tommy Davidson, Orlando Jones, Debra Wilson, Cedric Yarbourgh, Byron Minns, all who have been characters on the adult swim show The Boondocks. It is pretty much safe to say Black Dynamite is a spin-off that takes us back to the 1970s.

Black Dynamite can been seen on Adult Swim at 11:30 PM on Sunday night

Happy Birthday President Obama

"Hope is what led a band of colonists to rise up against an empire; what led the greatest of generations to free a continent and heal a nation; what led young women and young men to sit at lunch counters and brave fire hoses and march through Selma and Montgomery for freedom's cause. Hope is what led me here today--with a father from Kenya, a mother from Kansas; and a story that could only happen in the United States of America. Hope is the bedrock of this nation; the belief that our destiny will not be written for us, but by us; by all those men and women who are not content to settle for the world as it is; who have courage to remake the world as it should be."   Speech from President Barack Obama November 10, 2007

Happy birthday to you Commander and Chief
